Updatable Web Notes.

I added more new features to MySticky.net.

Now you can change the font size used on your note. Use a smaller sized font to type more information on your sticky note or use a larger font size to make it really stand out.

We also a few new fonts - Typewriter, Air Brush, Kool Bean, Sling, Automobile and Ramona. We can add other “ttf” fonts easily so just let us know what fonts you would like to see.

Click on “View Font Samples” to see an example of each font in a pop up window. You can click on the sample in the new window and it will automatically update the font selected.

We have added a new Overlay Javascript feature to MySticky.net that lets you place your sticky note as an overlay on a web page. The sticky note is displayed over top of the existing content so you not need to redesign your page. When you click on the note it disappears. The sticky has a 24 hour frequency cap and will only be displayed once in 24 hours on any site where you embed the code. This is so it will not become annoying to your visitors.

You can embed more than one sticky note on each site.

The code automatically measures the size of your window and places the sticky note at the top center of the page. We will be adding features that will give more control over the placement of the sticky and allow you to place multiple stickies on the same page.

Now you can use MySticky.net to create floating announcements that really catch your users’ attention.

If you use Windows XP, you can add a sticky to your desktop.

1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Open Display Properties.
3. Click the Desktop tab.
4. Click the Customize Desktop button.
5. Click the Web tab in the Desktop Items window.

Click New and enter the Image URL for your sticky. To update the sticky, click the Synchronize button or right click your desktop and select Refresh.

Please leave a comment if you can provide instructions for adding stickies to the desktop in other operating systems.

You could even add your friends’ and co-workers’ stickies to your desktop as a way to send notes and reminders.

I just added another style to MySticky.net for posting holiday greetings. Here is an example:

I have removed the link back to MySticky.net from the codes used to embed the stickies on your web pages, etc. This will make it easier for you to add your own links to your stickies.

I added a public Post Your Stickies wall where you can post your stickies for everyone to see. To post your sticky on the wall, check the Post on the MySticky.net wall checkbox when you add or edit your sticky. I randomly select 100 stickies from those checked to display on The Wall. You can view these stickies by clicking The Wall in the menu.

I moved MySticky.net to a new server on December 4, 2007. This should make the site faster and more reliable. I copied all the stickies to the new server but it is possible that some members modified stickies on the old server after the move. It usually takes up to 48 hours for server changes to propagate throughout the entire Internet. You may have to re-enter your modifications on the new server.

Welcome to MySticky.net. This site was developed to provide members with an easy way to create notes that can be added to websites, bulletin boards, Facebook, eBay auctions, etc. You can paste the same MySticky.net note in several places and then update it through your MySticky.net account to change it everywhere it is pasted.
